SANCERRE RED
cuvee-caprices

The “Héritages” range

“A wine to honour the savoir-faire of our ancestors: heritage perfected by modernity…”

VINEYARD LOCATION: Crézancy-en-Sancerre

TERROIR: An old vines selection, mainly from our famous “Terres Rouges”, composed of sand and iron-rich sandstone, as well as rocky limestone “Caillottes” soils.

GRAPE VARIETY: Pinot noir

VINIFICATION: The harvest is de-stemmed before alcoholic fermentation. Extraction is carefully managed during fermentation to obtain concentrated, well-balanced tannins and flavours. The wine is aged in oak barrels for around a year to enrich its concentration and weight.

TASTING NOTES*:

Appearance: Beautiful glittering ruby red colour.

Nose: Concentrated aromas of wonderfully ripe red and black berry fruits, combined with hints of spice.

Palate: Tannins are ripe and velvety. The palate is at once fresh and extremely concentrated. A wine of great complexity and structure.

FOOD PAIRING SUGGESTIONS: Roasted white or red meats.

RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 15°C to 16°C.
